Program Overview

Duration: 2 weeks (4 days Virtual Theory + 3 days of In-person Applied Training)  

Cost: No cost to eligible participants

Method of Study: Combined online and in-person

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:30am until 4pm

Age Requirement: 18 years and older

Eligibility: Resident of Ontario, eligible to work in the province. Newcomers and individuals in receipt of Ontario Works are encouraged to apply.

Note: Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 (defined by Health Canada as two shots) is required.  Masks are required for any in-person training.

Program Description

Jump to Jobs helps get participants job ready in 2-3 weeks!  We have taken the best elements from all our training programs into an intensive hands-on experience. 

This program combines job seeking preparation, soft skills and specific training for either Housekeeping jobs or Food & Beverage Server jobs.  There are 2 components of this training:

  • Job Preparation Training (4 days)
  •  Room Attendant Training (3 days) OR Food & Beverage Server (3 days)

*Those taking Food & Beverage Server Training will have opportunity to take Smart Serve Certification 

Program Details

The program includes online and in-person instructor-led sessions, independent activities, and one-on-one coaching sessions. In-person classes take place at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel. 

Both the online and in-person training runs all day.

In person, Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 (defined by Health Canada as two shots) and masking is required

Why This Program

There are many job opportunities across hospitality industry including within restaurants, hotels and motels.   This program gives you knowledge and hands-on experience to apply to either housekeeping jobs or Food & Beverage Handling jobs.

Best of all, there is no cost to candidates who are accepted into the program.
